The Broadland Gardens development of ten new family homes that are quintessentially characteristic of Plymouth provides a high quality living environment. They are contemporary in design with a focus upon the quality of the living environment and an ability to adapt over time to changing requirements of their owners. Due to the simplicity of the designs, the success of the appearance of the architecture and landscape relies on well-considered crisp and refined detailing and the use of good quality materials.

The Babbage Building showcases exemplar standards of teamwork, innovation and sustainability. Key elements include a coherent external appearance, high-quality materials and a new atrium entrance. The project supports the campus-wide Energy Strategy of a 5th Generation Heating and Cooling loop and successfully integrates new services and specialist ventilation into the confines of the existing reinforced concrete frame structure. The project significantly reduced carbon impact, created jobs and achieved an EPC A rating through sustainable construction practices and energy-efficient systems.
